Marilyn and I went and saw the movie Rent this afternoon. She was hoping that she was going to like it better than when she saw the musical. Apparently the musical upset her stomach enough she she thought she was going to vomit. I on the other hand knew the musical and loved it. Marilyn has a problem with the lifestyles that are portrayed in the movie/musical....I on the other hand although I do not condone that kind of lifestyle I could see the good in the movie....I mean to have those kinds of friends who will stand beside you know matter what....Man if only I could get as lucky as that. I guess this movie hits really close to home for the both of us as our older brother is gay and will probably die from aids. The song from the movie entitled "will I" sort of reminds me how to treat other people who might be different that me...Not just those who are dying of aids but even others who seem to be losing their dignity.....I also love the song "Season of Love" that song has a lot of powerful emotion behind it.
