I thought I would post a little more today, I never did post what happened on Christmas day at Moms and Dads. When we got there in late afternoon I heard a LARGE dog barking very hard. Mom surprised all of us with her Christmas present from Dad which was a new Dog. Mom had been wanting a new dog for awhile and they rescued one from a Irish Setter Rescue place. The dogs name is Clifford, and he is ADORABLE. He is a little "Skittish" around male humans but warms up to females very easily. He is 14 months old and he is ad big as he is going to get...He is on the small side for a setter. Mom loves him to death EXCEPT....a few days after they got him Mom went to take him for a walk and Clifford lurched off 3 stairs and Mom went flying off with him. Mom landed right on her knees almost in a prayer position. She landed so hard on them that she broke the back of her leg. The hospital said that they did not have to cast it but the "Tibula"? is snapped in half. They are hoping it will mend on its own....but if it does not mend and it might not cuz in guess in old people bones do not mend as they should sometime....she might be required to have surgery. I sure hope not...
