Its has been awhile since I have posted anything. I have been on a small vacation. I took off on Saturday and spent a few days in Indiana with my brother and his family. On Monday I did absolutely nothing! Tuesday I did something for the first time in my life...I went fishing! We had a blast. The only thing that was a bit disgusting was trying to bait the hook with the worms. Anyone who knows me knows that I am a "girly girl" and that part made me a bit squeamish. Wednesday we went out and shopped for everything that we needed to make Mom and Dad a Turkey dinner to take home with them after Moms surgery on Thursday. Thursday I spent most of the day making the turkey dinner and babysitting moms dog while they were at the hospital. I have no plans at all for today. I think it might have to be another do nothing day :) . Good Lord knows I need it.

Moms surgery went very well. They think they got all the cancer out this time. Now they have to wait for a few more reports from the doctors and then they will start the chemo.

I got a letter in the mail on Tuesday from Anna Aben. She is my director of singing at church. She is retiring on Oct. 1st. :( I had to go in last night for practice and she and I talked for almost 2 hours. She is going to be sorely missed. She did invite me to come up and visit her up north. I thought that was really sweet. She has made such a difference in the church and in my life. She has taught me to be more creative in my musical ability and she is also the one that encouraged me to start singing as a cantor and then to start branching out on my own and soloing for weddings and the such. Speaking for weddings. I found a piece of music that I am going to surprise my sister with at her wedding in Sept. :) YEA!!!!
