Friday 67

It has been a long week. I did get most of what I wanted to get done yesterday done, but I still am behind. I hate trying to play catch up! I still need to get as many cases as I can emptied before next Thursday. I did find out that when the new product arrives that I can put out the items that go on the countertop away instead of waiting for the reset company to come in. All in all they figure that my counter alone is going to be getting over 110 thousand dollars worth of product! I am sure glad I know my Jewelry. I also think I found a lead on a new job. The company that is sending the new items is in the process of looking for regional account managers to over see market area stores. That sounds like a job that is right up my alley.

Thursday 66

Class went very well last night. I have a very bright group of kids, and my teachers aid is AWESOME! We decided last night that were are going to perform a song call the "10 Commandment Boogie" for open house in November. The kids LOVED the song and its right up their alley music wise.

I still have a lot to do at work. Some days it feels like I will never be caught up. I have another hour meeting this morning and then we will go from there trying to get everything into place.

Wednesday 65

Good news! Moms last biopseys came back negitive. She was so sure that they were going to be cancerous. Proves that God really does listen to prayers.

Class starts tonight. I got almost everything ready last night. I just need to get a few things to make the welcome bags and then I am done.

Tuesday 64

I got a ton done yesterday. There is still a lot more that needs to be done before Oct. 9th. I sure hope Privina can see that and not pull me into the other areas so I can stay focused on Jewelry. Speaking of Jewelry, I was a littler upset last night. After I got home from work I noticed that my dolphin ring seemed a bit loose. I took it off and it broke into two pieces. I loved that ring. Dad had picked it out for me by himself when he and Mom went on their first cruise many years ago. I have worn the ring every day since then and I guess I just worn the band thin. I am going to bring it to a client of ours this afternoon to see if they can repair it.

Monday 63

The kids in the family got together this weekend to discuss moms cancer. Mom did not tell Marica or Matt that she had to go back in for another biopsy. I am not sure why did not tell them, I just hope mom is being truthful with what she is telling me and Marilyn. Mom says it is nothing to worry about, but when she has had 4 separates trips to the hospital in 2 months, you begin to wonder. She finds out the results today, so say an extra prayer for her please.

Other than that the weekend was uneventful. Did a little Christmas shopping on Sat. and went to mass yesterday and talked with Fr. Loc afterwards. We are trying to make sure that finding a new choir director stays a priority.

Friday 60

They think they found more cancer in mom. She has to go in for more surgery since they found 2 more sizeable masses in her other breast. Today she is going in for another radiation treatment. I hope and pray that she is better soon.

Thursday 59

Worked most of the day yesterday in fashions. Sometimes I wonder if they will ever get their stupid head together and realize how much money we loose when I am working there. I am a Jeweler, I sell Jewelry . That is what I do and I am damm good at it. I use to be the top seller in the chain, but not anymore. I so want to get back up there. It seems the more I get fustrated the more I HATE working for Meijer. It use to be a great place to work, but not anymore.

Yea, got all the sunglasses done yesterday. I did wind up with a headache trying to looking for all those teeny tiny numbers, but at least it is now all done.

Another 3 hour meeting tonight. Classes begin next week.

What a day yesterday! We were very busy at work. There are still so many things that need to be I don't know where to start. I know as sure as I am sitting here that Privina is not going to be very happy with me when she comes in today, but hey I am only 1 person and I can only do so much. I did find out that on oct. 9 all of our new jewelry should be here and I will be doing a reset with a few other people. I am looking forward to that. Can't wait to see what we will be carrying. I sure hope I get rid of more of the clearance before then.

Last night we (meaning mer and mike and the kids and I) went back to Meijer and wound up buying Matthew a huge telescope for his birthday. This telescope was normally $400 but it was on clearance for 1/2 off and then it was credit card day so it was an additional 15% off then on top of all those discount we used my team member card for another 10% off. I think after all those discounts we would up paying less than $150. What a great deal. :)

Monday 56

Another work weeks begins. This weekend just went by too fast, I don't think I had any time to rest. The older I get it seems the more rest I need. I did have a nice time yesterday at Marks house. We sat around and laughed and told stories all afternoon.

I have a ton of work waiting for me again at work today. I still need to send back all the sunglasses that are on the recall plus getting out the new stock that came down. Lets hop Privina leaves me alone.

Friday 53

TGIF! Yea, so happy it's Friday today. It has been a long work week. Yesterday I got several recalls down for sunglasses. I filled one of the recalls and that was enough for me. Trying to read all those teeny tiny itsy bitsy little number was almost maddening. I am going to try and do some more today so it is not looming over me next week.

Wednesday 51

Well tonight is the night where I start back to class...well sort of. We have a 3 hour meeting tonight! Yes I said right 3 hours! You would think for as many years I have been teaching I would be excused from these but no.

So much for getting caught up with everything at work. I am behind again but maybe I can get everything done today if all goes well. Speaking of work. Claudia came in late again yesterday. Her kids called 3 times, and she never answered her pages. I guess its going to be just like Bernie said. "It's going to get worse before it gets better"

Tuesday 50

Got a lot of work done yesterday. Finished getting all the new trend stuff out...and on top of that re-did the price changes that came down. It feels good to sort of caught up.

Kathy had to rush home yesterday from work. Apparently her son got hurt badly lat week while at work and yesterday he had a blot clot. An ambulance was rushing to her house to take him back to the hospital.

Monday 49

My nerves were shot before the wedding started on Saturday. Mark and I had a hard time trying to learn one of the songs for before the wedding. Plus I got sick and my voice was nowhere to be found on Thursday and part of Friday, so you can imagine my stomach was doing flips. I think I lived on Tums all day on Friday.

The wedding was beautiful Shelly looked so radiant. The music went very well. I was a bit nervous on the first song but I let go and let God take control and then things went smoothly. So many people came up to me afterwards and said they never realized the talent I had. To say the least it felt good to be a blessing for Shelly and Mikes wedding.

Tuesday 43

Its a short work week this week. Only working 3 days. I took Friday off a long time ago thinking at Shelly was going to be having some sort of rehearsal the day before her wedding but she is not having one. The only thing I have left to do before the wedding is to get my pants pressed. I wore the green top to church this past Sunday. As much as I bulked at getting the green one to begin with I have to admit that it looked very good.

Mom is feeling a lot better. Her cold is gone, she is just feeling a little weak. I think she starts the chemo after Shellys wedding but I am not too sure on that.

Monday 42

It was nice to have a few days off with nothing to do but to relax and do what I want to do. I stayed up late on Friday, could not sleep so I was still up at 3:00am. Saturday I slept in and then went and saw the Move The World Trade Center. Such a touching movie. I have not cried so much in a movie in a long time. Sunday I went to mass and then got some of the music together for the wedding this weekend. Today I slept in again as I took it off as a paid holiday. I went over to Mikes and Mers to do some laundry and then we took Matthew school shopping for supplies he needed for the classroom. We wound up at Walmart (Yes I know that's a swear word for me) and the whole family got the best Halloween outfits. Emily is going to be a pretty princess. Her dress lights up and sparkles, she looks so cute in it. Matthew is going to be a scary zombie. Mike is going as a Winged Reaper, and Marilyn is going as a faceless ghoul. No out fit for me as of yet. I was thinking of be another fairy princess :)
