Some well deserved time off. Current mood: content
Well I have not wrote anything in over a week as I have just been way to busy. I had a good Christmas. Sang for 5 different events and it all went pretty smoothly. I did get down to see Mom and Dad which was great. I will also be seeing them again today for a moment on my way to Indiania for 5 days.

Busy....busy...BUSY!! Current mood: rushed
Arggggg....Calgon take me away! Was very busy yesterday. Will be even busier today with another sale that started. I also have class tonight and have not yet even typed up my note home. I skipped practice last night so I could rest my voice some more. Did I forget to tell you that I am BUSY! ARGGGGGGG (got to love this time of the year)

Tuesday 149

Well this begins one of the busiest weeks for me. I spent Sunday at church and then I wrapped every single items for Chirstmas then I was off to Mers for dinner. Yesterday I had off so I slept in. I knew I was going to need as much rest as possible if I am going to survive this week. Last night I went to a 3 hour practice. My voice is getting better somewhat but it is still not 100% yet. Tonight is the only night that I am free to do whatever I want so I am again taking it easy and will be in bed before 10:00 pm. I dont know if I am going to have much time at all this week to do any more blogging so if I don't....Merry Christmas All!

Such a proud Aunt I am! Current mood: content

I went to Matthews Christmas concert last night and I was so suprised. Matthew had been keeping a secret from the family for about a month. He was chosen to be the lead singer in their Christmas concert. They all started out together singing Silent Night in spanish, then Matthew stepped down from where he was standing, got right in front of the microphone, flashed me and his momma a huge smile and then led all the kids in singing I saw 3 ships. He was so cute and did such a good job. His momma asked him how long he knew he was going to do it and he said a LONG time. He even fooled his aunt Megan. When I drove him to practice the other day I was suprised that there was so few kids there and he said it was because they had only asked the leaders to come back. Well enough of me bragging! :)

I am getting another cold all over again. It started last night with chills and then coughing more. Now this morning I feel as I was hit by a truck. Still sore and running a fevor. I so need to be bettter by Christmas.

I am sitting here in a bit of pain. Yesterday when I was leaving work I slipped and fell, hit my head on the cement and my leg got caught underneath the shopping cart. So right now I have a major headache still and a leg that is a bit bruised up, but since I am made of "wonder woman" and made of steel I will be A ok. :)

Tuesday 142

Very busy weekend here. I spent Saturday taking the kids shopping and then back to my house for wrapping and decorating the tree. Sunday I got up early and cantored for 2 masses. After mass I went to breakfast with Pat. We had a great time. Then back to church for another practice. I did not work yesterday as I am working this coming Saturday, but I did have to go in for another practice last night. That one ran a little late so now I am sitting here yawning as I did not get nearly as much sleep as I should of last night.

Wednesday 136

Meijer, Megan, and Music...Oh MY Current mood: okay
Yesterday was one long day. I spent the major part of my day working as a cashier at the checkout lanes. Now all my work is backed up again. With the weather the way it is again today I can almost guarentee that we will as busy or busier than we were yesterday. Lets hope they leave me alone so I can get some work done.
I met with the "other" Megan yesterday. She seems like a very pleasent girl. I gave her some of the new music that she needs to learn and she said she already knew some of it. This is a major help for me. Me on the other hand, I have about 5 new pieces to learn. Thank goodness I am a quick learner.

Tuesday 135

Well I stayed home yesterday. I needed 1 more day to work through this cold. Today I am feeling much better. Not couching nearly as much and my voice is almost near normal. With Christmas and all this singing right around the corner, it is imperative that I treat my voice with the utmost caution.
This afternoon I have my first of many practices for upcoming events. I was a bit sad on Sunday when I could not perform the "Handels Messiah" that is one of my favorite pieces but my voice was not even halfway there.

Well Mary and I finally touched base yesterday. It looks like I have alot of work ahead of me for singing on Christmas. I did pull a bunch of music last night at practice now I just have to get some sort of vision in my head of who/how/where/and when we are going to practice.
SNOW!!!! YUCK YUCK YUCK YUCK YUCK YUCK I cannot say it enough. RIght now we are in the middle of a big snow storm. Lots of ice, sleet and snow on top of it. I hate this kind of weather. Please everyone DRIVE carefully if you have to out and about in this "garbage" today.
On top of everything. I have my first cold of the season. Right now I am just stuffed up with a little coughing and my voice seems to be going out on me, but no sore throat. Lets hope I am better before I have to start singing.
